Winners of the 2024 Sergei A. Schelkunoff Transactions Prize Paper Award announced
We extend our warmest congratulations to Said Mikki for his paper titled "The Shannon Information Capacity of an Arbitrary Radiating Surface: An Electromagnetic Approach" which has been awarded with the 2024 IEEE APS Sergei A. Schelkunoff Transactions Prize Paper Award.
The award-winning paper, that was published in the March 2023 issue of the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, explores Shannon information-theoretic characterizations of the information capacity limits of generic electromagnetic (EM) surfaces intended for possible use in wireless communication links.
The awarded paper will be available as open access until 31st December 2024
About the award
The S. A. Schelkunoff Transactions Prize Paper Award is given to the authors of the best paper published in the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation during the previous year. It was previously known as the “Best Paper” award and was renamed in 1985.
