The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) C. J. Reddy Travel Grant for Graduate Students aims to help graduate students attend the annual IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and further their research work in the field of antennas and propagation.
This year for the 2025 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas & Propagation and North American Radio Science Meeting, 13 - 18 July 2025, Ottawa, Canada, we are pleased to announce that the following recipients have been selected by the IEEE AP-S Member and Geographic Activities Committee (coordinated by Prof. Atif Shamim). They are sorted according to their last names as below:

Jinzhi Bai has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled " An All-Metal, High-power Near-Field Focusing Reflectarray for Microwave Fracture of Hard Rocks". He is currently pursuing his degree with his advisor Fan Wu at Southeast University, China.

Suryarajitha Inapurapu has been awarded the grant to further her research and to present her paper entitled “A Diplexing MIMO Filtenna based on Shielded QMSIW cavities for 5G Sub-7 GHz Applications”. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree with her advisors Prof. M. V. Kartikeyan and Prof. R. K. Panigrahi at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India.

Bumhyun Kim has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled "Artificial Intelligence-Driven High-Order MIMO Antenna Systems for Random Mobile Device Scenarios". He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree with his advisor Wonbin Hong at Pohang University of Science and Technology, Korea.

Martin Petek has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled " On the Irreducible Brillouin Zones of 1D Glide-Symmetric Structures". He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree with his advisor Francesca Vipiana at Politecnico di Torino, Italy and is co-supervised by Oscar Quevedo-Teruel from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Shreya Pourush has been awarded the grant to further her research and to present her paper entitled " Transmissive Coded Near-Field Focusing Metasurface Lens using ME-Dipole Antenna for Wireless Power Transfer.” She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree with her advisor Prof. Raghvendra Kumar Chaudhary at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India.

Nelson Castro Salas has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled "PTD-Symmetric Transmission Lines Using the Bed of Nails Metasurface". He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree with his advisor Eva Rajo-Iglesias at University Carlos III of Madrid, Spain.
