Recipients of the 2022 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society C. J. Reddy Travel Grant for Graduate Students
The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) C. J. Reddy Travel Grant for Graduate Students aims to help graduate students attend the annual IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and further their research work in the field of antennas and propagation.
This year for the IEEE AP-S/URSI 2022 Denver, we are pleased to announce that the following recipients have been selected by the IEEE AP-S Education Committee (coordinated by Eng Leong Tan). They are sorted according to their last names as below:
Ali Alqaraghuli has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled “Compact Two-Stage Origami Horn Antenna for Terahertz CubeSat Networks”. He is currently pursuing his degree with his advisor Josep Jornet at Northeastern University.
Quoc Hung Dang has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled “Dual-Band Frequency-Reconfigurable Flexible Wearable Textile Antenna”. He is currently pursuing his degree with his advisor Christophe Fumeaux at The University of Adelaide.
Firas Dawod has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled “An Improved Direction of Arrival Technique Based on Nullforming and Steering Theory”. He is currently pursuing his degree with his advisor Sayan Roy at South Dakota Mines.
Audrey Evans has been awarded the grant to further her research and to present her paper entitled “An Experimentally Validated Multi-Physics Simulation of Microwave-Induced Thermoacoustics under Microwave Heating”. She is currently pursuing her degree with her advisor Susan C. Hagness at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Siddhartha Panigrahi has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled “Leaky Surface Waves Suppression Using Simple Planar Patch-type AMC Surfaces”. He is currently pursuing his degree with his advisor Hsi-Tseng Chou at National Taiwan University.
Pavle Petrović has been awarded the grant to further his research and to present his paper entitled “Design and Manufacturing of C-Band FMCW Radar”. He is currently pursuing his degree with his advisor Slobodan V. Savić at University of Belgrade.
