Bing Zhang is a Professor at the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, Chengdu, China. Dr. Zhang received the Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2013. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, from 2013 to 2016. He was a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore from 2016 to 2017. He joined Sichuan University as a Professor in 2017. He was a Visiting Student at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, in May 2012, and a Visiting Scientist at IMT Atlantique, Brest, France, in November 2014 and April 2015. Dr. Zhang is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of the IEEE C-RFID Technical Committee on Additively Manufacturing Electronic Systems, and the Advisor of the IEEE Sichuan University IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Branch Chapter in the Chengdu Section. He was the recipient of the URSI Young Scientist Award in 2013 and the APMC Prize in Antennas in 2019.

His research interests include 3D-printed antennas, antenna-in-package (AiP), antenna-on-chip (AoC), electrically small antennas, gap waveguides, packaging of monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMIC), and co-design of active and passive microwave components. He is the author of two invited papers in the Proceedings of the IEEE on the topic of 3D-printed antennas and microwave components in 2017 and 2024.

Okan Yurduseven is currently a Full Professor of Applied Electromagnetics at Queen’s University Belfast, United Kingdom, where he is also the Head of the ElectroMagnetic Imaging and Sensing (EMIS) Lab. Prior to joining Queen’s University Belfast, he was with the NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, USA. He also served as a Research Fellow at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, USA, where he is currently an Adjunct Professor.

Prof. Yurduseven is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), a Semior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a Member of the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP). He was the recipient of several awards, including the Outstanding Postdoctoral Award at Duke University (2017), Duke University Professional Development Award (2017), NASA Postdoctoral Program Award (2018), British Council—Alliance Hubert Curien Award (2019), Leverhulme Trust Research Leadership Award (2020), Young Scientist Award from the Electromagnetics Academy—Photonics and Electromagnetics Research Symposium (2021), Queen’s University Belfast Vice Chancellor’s Early Career Researcher Prize (2022), and three Outstanding Associate Editor Awards from IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (2023, 2024, 2025). He is among the world’s top 2% cited scientists in the career-long impact category (Stanford/Elsevier). He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, and Scientific Reports (Nature).

His research interests include reconfigurable antennas and metasurfaces, microwave and millimeter-wave imaging, metamaterials and holographic surfaces, and applied electromagnetics. He has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings in these areas.

Pai-Yen Chen is a Professor and University Scholar in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). He received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013, and M.S. and B.S. degrees from National Chiao Tung University in 2006 and 2004, respectively. He was a Research Scientist at Intellectual Ventures Laboratory (2013-2014) and a Research Staff in the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (2006-2009). His research spans a wide range of multidisciplinary areas, including applied electromagnetics, metamaterials and metasurfaces, RF and microwave antennas and circuits, wireless sensors and systems, bioelectronics, nanoelectronics, and nanophotonics. He has published numerous papers in high-ranked journals such as IEEE transactions, Nature, Nature Electronics, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, and Science Advances. In addition, he has published a book and several book chapters, and holds multiple U.S. patents.

Prof. Chen is a Fellow of IEEE and the recipient of numerous prestigious honors, including National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, IEEE Sensors Council Technical Achievement Award (advanced career), IEEE Sensors Council Distinguished Lecturer, IEEE Sensors Council Young Professional Award, IEEE AP-S Raj Mittra Travel Grant, IEEE Chicago Distinguished R&D Award, SPIE Rising Researcher Award, IOP Emerging Leader in Measurement Science and Technology, ACES Early Career Award, Electromagnetics Academy Young Scientist Award, URSI Young Scientist Award, AFRL Faculty Fellowship, UAAT International Visiting Scholar, University of Illinois Scholar, UIC Researcher of the Year, Donald Harrington Fellowship, United Microelectronics Corporation Scholarship, along with multiple best paper and design awards from flagship IEEE conferences. Richard W. Ziolkowski received the B. Sc. (magna cum laude) degree (Hons.) in physics from Brown University, Providence, RI, USA, in 1974; the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, IL, USA, in 1975 and 1980, respectively; and an Honorary Doctorate degree from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Kongens Lyngby, Denmark in 2012.

He is currently a Professor Emeritus with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, USA. He was a Litton Industries John M. Leonis Distinguished Professor in the College of Engineering and was also a Professor in the College of Optical Sciences until his retirement in 2018. He was also a Distinguished Professor in the Global Big Data Technologies Centre in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies (FEIT) at the University of Technology Sydney, Ultimo NSW Australia from 2016 until 2023. He was the Computational Electronics and Electromagnetics Thrust Area Leader with the Engineering Research Division of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory before joining The University of Arizona in 1990.

Prof. Ziolkowski was the recipient of the 2019 IEEE Electromagnetics Award (IEEE Technical Field Award). He is an IEEE Life Fellow, as well as a Fellow of OPTICA (previously the Optical Society of America, OSA) and the American Physical Society (APS). He was the 2014-2015 Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Advanced Science and Technology (sponsored by DSTO, the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation). He served as the President of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) in 2005 and has had many other AP-S leadership roles. He is also actively involved with the URSI (International Union of Radio Science) Commission B and the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP). He is the co-Editor of the best-selling 2006 IEEE-Wiley book, Metamaterials: Physics and Engineering Explorations, as well as an author and co-Editor, respectively, of the recent Wiley-IEEE books: Advanced Antenna Array Engineering for 6G and Beyond Wireless Communications (2022) and Antenna and Array Technologies for Future Wireless Ecosystems (2022).

His current research interests include developing the space-time theories, simulations, and realizations of linear and nonlinear metamaterial-inspired structures for classical and quantum applications.

Eng Leong Tan (SM'06) received the B.Eng. (Electrical) degree with first class honors from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

From 1999 to 2002, he was a Member of Technical Staff at the Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore.

Since 2002, he has been with the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, NTU, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interests include computational electromagnetics (CEM), multi-physics, RF/microwave circuit and antenna design.

Dr. Tan has published more than 130 journal papers and more than 90 conference papers. He and his students received numerous paper and project awards/prizes including: 2019 Ulrich L. Rohde Innovative Conference Paper Award on Computational Techniques in Electromagnetics, First Prize in 2014 IEEE Region 10 Student Paper Contest, First Prize in 2014 IEEE MTT-S Student Design Contest on Apps for Microwave Theory and Techniques, First Prize in 2013 IEEE AP-S Antenna Design Contest, etc. He was the recipient of the IEEE AP-S Donald G. Dudley Jr. Undergraduate Teaching Award with citation: "For excellence in teaching, student mentoring, and the development of mobile technologies and computational methods for electromagnetics education." Dr. Tan has served as Chair and Past Chair for IEEE Singapore MTT/AP Chapter. He has been actively involved in organizing many conferences, including General Chair of PIERS 2017 Singapore, TPC Chair of ICCEM 2020, APCAP 2018 (Auckland) and 2015 (Bali), as well as TPC Chair of IEEE APS/URSI 2021. He is a Fellow of ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology, and a Fellow* of the Electromagnetics Academy (in recognition of distinguished contributions to "Computational electromagnetics and education").

Nacer E. Chahat (SM'15 - F'21) received the Master's degree in electrical engineering from the École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Rennes (ESIR), Rennes, France, in 2009, and the Master's degree in telecommunications and the Ph.D. degree in signal processing and telecommunications from the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of Rennes (IETR), University of Rennes 1, Rennes, France, in 2009 and 2012, respectively.

He is a Senior Antenna/Microwave Engineer and System Engineer at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA. Since 2013, he has been a Microwave/Antenna Engineer with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Since 2017, he has also served as Technical Section Staff and Product Delivery Manager. Dr. Chahat has authored and coauthored more than 200 technical journal articles and conference papers, written four book chapters, and holds several patents. He is the author of the Wiley-published book, CubeSat Antenna Design.

He was the recipient of the 2011 CST University Publication Award, the 2011 Best Paper Award from the Bioelectromagnetics Society, and the 2012 IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society Doctoral Research Award. He was also recognized by the Foundation of Rennes 1 as the Best Ph.D. graduate from the University of Rennes. In 2013, he received the Best Ph.D. Thesis in France in Electrical Engineering awarded by Club EEA (Enseignants et Chercheurs en Électronique, Électrotechnique et Automatique). That same year, he was honored with the Airbus Group Foundation's Best Thesis Prize in France. In 2015, Dr. Chahat received the French Early Career Award for Engineers and Scientists (Prix Bretagne Jeune Chercheur) for his significant scientific contributions early in his career. He was also the recipient of the 2017 IEEE A. Schelkunoff Transactions Prize Paper Award and the prestigious Lew Allen Award for Excellence from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory "for demonstrated unique talent as a leader in rapid spacecraft antenna development and telecom systems engineering." In 2018, Dr. Chahat was awarded the Future Technology Leader Award by the Engineers' Council and NASA's Early Career Achievement Award. In 2019, he received the JARS Best Paper Award for Photo-Optical Instrumentation and Design. In 2020, he was named Region 6 Outstanding Engineer of the Year and received the 2020 AIAA Spacecraft Structures Best Paper Award. In 2021, he received the IETE Dr. Sudhakar Rao Award and became the youngest IEEE Fellow. He won the WAMS Best Paper Award in both 2022 and 2023. In 2023, he was named Personality of the Year in Rennes by the French newspaper Ouest-France, and was elected Life Fellow by the WAMS Society. He was also inducted as an AIAA Associate Fellow in 2023 and an IET Fellow in 2024. In 2024, he was awarded NASA's Exceptional Public Achievement Medal for his role in the SWOT mission.

Dr. Chahat served as Chair of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Coastal Los Angeles Section Chapter from 2022 to 2023. He is currently the Chair of the AIAA San Gabriel Valley Chapter.

Özlem Özgün is currently a full professor in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department of Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey in 1998 and 2000, respectively, and her Ph.D. degree from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey in 2007, all in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. She served as a postdoctoral researcher at Electromagnetic Communication Lab, Penn State University, USA (2007-2008). She previously worked at TUBITAK Iltaren (2000-2004), Aselsan Inc. (2004-2005), METU (2008-2012), and TED University (2012-2015) before joining Hacettepe University.

Her research interests include various topics in computational electromagnetics and radiowave propagation, including electromagnetic radiation and scattering, numerical methods, domain decomposition methods, transformation electromagnetics, stochastic electromagnetic problems and optimization techniques. She has authored over 130 refereed publications in international journals, book (MATLAB-based Finite Element Programming in Electromagnetic Modeling, CRC Press, 2018), book chapters and conference proceedings.

Dr. Özgün is a senior member of IEEE and URSI, and served as the past chair of the steering committee of URSI Turkey. She received the METU best Ph.D. thesis award in 2007, and the award for excellence in electromagnetics bestowed by Prof. Felsen Fund in 2009. She was honored in 2023 and 2024 by being named among the world's top 2% influential scientists in the career-long impact category, prepared by Stanford University and Elsevier. She is also the recipient of the IEEE AP-S Outstanding Reviewer Award (IEEE TAP) for 2023. Recently, she was honored by the "Hacettepe University 2024 Science Award".

Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma (SM'06) received his Ph. D. degree in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India in August 1997. He received his undergraduate degree (Bachelor in Technology) in Electronics Engineering from Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology, Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India in June 1991. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada from March 1999 to May 2001. He joined InfoMagnetics Technologies Corporation, Winnipeg, Canada as a Senior Antenna Engineer/Researcher from May 2001 to August 2006. While at IMT, he was also a Part-Time Research Associate at the University of Manitoba until August 2006.

Dr. Sharma joined San Diego State University (SDSU) as an Assistant Professor in August 2006. He established the Antenna and Microwave Laboratory (AML) at SDSU and has led the AML as its Director since then. He became tenured Associate Professor in August 2010. He was promoted to full Professor in August 2014 and currently holds this position. He was Interim Chair of his department from August 2022 to October 2023. He has held Distinguished Summer Faculty Fellow positions at the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific, (NIWC-Pacific), San Diego (2020, 2021, 2022 & 2024). He has received the National Science Foundation (NSF)'s prestigious faculty early career development (CAREER) award in 2009. He also received the 2015 IEEE AP-S Harold A. Wheeler Prize Paper Award. He served as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Antennas & Propagation journal from August 2010 to June 2017. He also served as an Associate Editor of IEEE Antennas, Wireless & Propagation Letters from March 2017 to March 2023. His research lab has the capability to analyze, design, develop, and verify antennas from VHF to millimeter wave (110 GHz) frequencies.

Dr. Sharma has published over 320 journal and conference papers and holds three US and Canadian patents. He co-edited three volumes of "Handbook of Reflector Antennas and Feed Systems", published by Artech House in May/June 2013. His other coauthored book, "Multifunctional Antennas and Arrays for Wireless Communication Systems", was published by IEEE-Press/Wiley in April 2021. He has collaborated with industry professionals on SBIR/STTR Phase I and II projects in addition to projects from the NSF, NASA and Office of Naval Research (ONR). His research interests include microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies, beam steering antennas, flat panel phased array antennas, reconfigurable and tunable antennas, 3D printed antennas, inkjet printed conformal antennas, massive MIMO antennas, antennas for Cube-Satellites, reflector antennas and their feed systems, and metasurface antennas.

Chow-Yen-Desmond Sim is a distinguished professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Feng Chia University (FCU). He co-founded the Antennas and Microwave Circuits Innovation Research Center at FCU, and has been serving as the Director since 2016. He has published over 200 refereed papers in leading international journals and authored four books, including Microwave and Millimeter-wave Antenna Design for 5G Smartphone Applications (John Wiley, Jan 2023). His research interests include laptop antennas, vehicular antennas, reconfigurable antennas, array antennas, and practical RFID/NFC antenna designs and applications. His expertise extends to 5G Sub-7GHz/mmWave MIMO antenna designs for 5G smartphones.

Prof Sim’s involvement with IEEE societies includes serving as the Chapter Chair of the IEEE AP-Society, Taipei Chapter (Jan 2016 to Dec 2017), and as the founding Chapter Chair of the IEEE Council of RFID, Taipei Chapter (Oct 2017 to Dec 2020). He is the recipient of the IEEE AP-S Outstanding Reviewer Award (IEEE TAP) for eight consecutive years (2014 to 2021). In July 2018, he also received the Outstanding Associate Editor Award from the IEEE AWPL. He served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Access (Aug 2016 to Jan 2021) and IEEE AWPL (Aug 2017 to Sep 2023). Currently, he holds the position of Associate Editor for the IEEE OJAP and IEEE JRFID. He is now a Fellow of IET, and a senior member of IEEE.

Zhen Peng is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE ILLINOIS), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received a Ph.D. degree in electromagnetics and microwave engineering from the Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing, China, in 2008. From 2008 to 2013, he was with the ElectroScience Laboratory, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, first as a Postdoctoral Fellow, from 2008 to 2009, and then as a Senior Research Associate, from 2010 to 2013. From 2013 to 2019, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico (UNM), Albuquerque, NM, USA.

His research interests are in the areas of computational, statistical, and applied electromagnetics. The goal is to simulate classical and quantum electrodynamic physics with intelligent algorithms on state-of-the-art computers, where virtual experiments can be performed for the prediction, discovery, and design of complex systems at unprecedented scales. The applications of his research work include advanced antennas, radio frequency integrated circuits, electromagnetic interference and compatibility, signal and power integrity, and wireless communication.

Sima Noghanian is currently a Distinguished Hardware Engineer at CommScope Ruckus Networks. She is also an Antenna/RF consultant with Neuspera Medical Inc. Dr. Noghanian received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Manitoba in 2001, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada which she took at the University of Waterloo in 2002. She was an Assistant Professor at the Sharif University of Technology, Iran in 2002, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba, Canada (2003 – 2008). She was an Assistant/Associate Professor and the Director of the Applied Electromagnetic and Antenna Engineering Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of North Dakota, USA (2008 – 2018). She served as the Chair of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of North Dakota (2014 – 2016). She was a visiting professor at San Diego State University (2018). She was an Electromagnetic Application Engineer with PADT Inc. (2019-2020) and a Principal Antenna Design Engineering at Wafer LLC (2020 – 2021).

Dr. Noghanian is a senior member of IEEE, a fellow of ACES, and a senior member of URSI Commissions B and K. Dr. Noghanian currently serves as the associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation (OJAP), IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, IET Microwave, Antennas and Propagation, Elsevier International Journal of Electronics and Communications, Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES) Journal, and Frontiers in Antennas and Propagation. She was an associate editor of IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (2016 – 2022). She is a member of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society AdCom (2023 – 2025). She served on the Fields Award Committee and New Technology Directions Committee (2021 – 2023). She is the USNC-URSI Commission K Chair (2024 – 2026).

Her research interests include antenna design and modeling, wearable and implanted antennas, 3D printed antennas, wireless power transfer, microwave imaging, and wireless channel modeling. Costas Sarris received the Diploma in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, in 1997, and the M.Sc. degree in applied mathematics and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, both in 2002.

He is a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada. His research area is computational electromagnetics, with an emphasis on time-domain modeling, adaptive mesh refinement, enhanced stability, and higher order methods. He also works on physics-based wireless propagation models (with full-wave, asymptotic, and hybrid techniques), uncertainty quantification, and scientific machine learning.

Dr. Sarris was a recipient of the 2021 Premium Award for Best Paper in IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, the IEEE MTT-S Outstanding Young Engineer Award in 2013 and an Early Researcher Award from the Ontario Government in 2007. He was the TPC Chair of the 2015 IEEE AP-S International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and the CNC/USNC Joint Meeting, the 2019 and 2023 MTT-S Numerical Electromagnetics, Multiphysics and Optimization (NEMO) Conference, the TPC Vice-Chair of the 2012 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, and the Chair of the MTT-S Technical Committee on Field Theory and Numerical Electromagnetics (2018–2020). Since 2019, he has been serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE JOURNAL ON MULTISCALE AND MULTIPHYSICS COMPUTATIONAL TECHNIQUES. He was a Guest Editor of the IEEE Microwave Magazine’s Special Issue on machine learning for microwave engineering (October 2021), and an Associate Editor of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON MICROWAVE THEORY AND TECHNIQUES (2009–2013) and the IEEE MICROWAVE AND WIRELESS COMPONENTS LETTERS (2007–2009).

Prof. Sarris has received multiple teaching awards for his work on undergraduate electromagnetic courses, including the University of Toronto Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Teaching Award in 2021.

Bing Zhang is a Professor at the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, Chengdu, China. Dr. Zhang received the Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2013. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, from 2013 to 2016. He was a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore from 2016 to 2017. He joined Sichuan University as a Professor in 2017. He was a Visiting Student at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, in May 2012, and a Visiting Scientist at IMT Atlantique, Brest, France, in November 2014 and April 2015. Dr. Zhang is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of the IEEE C-RFID Technical Committee on Additively Manufacturing Electronic Systems, and the Advisor of the IEEE Sichuan University IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Branch Chapter in the Chengdu Section. He was the recipient of the URSI Young Scientist Award in 2013 and the APMC Prize in Antennas in 2019.

His research interests include 3D-printed antennas, antenna-in-package (AiP), antenna-on-chip (AoC), electrically small antennas, gap waveguides, packaging of monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMIC), and co-design of active and passive microwave components. He is the author of two invited papers in the Proceedings of the IEEE on the topic of 3D-printed antennas and microwave components in 2017 and 2024.
