Technical Committee 1: Antennas
Antenna Modeling, Design, Fabrication
Roles
The roles of the AP-S TC on “Antennas” are to provide leadership and technical support to the broader Antennas and Propagation community regarding all aspects of antenna modeling, design, and fabrication. This leadership and technical support includes, but not limited to, operation principles, circuit-based modeling, physical-informed Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) based modeling, power handling, and design and fabrication of various types of antennas from low-, medium-, to high-gain antenna structures over all frequency bands with both traditional and new or emerging material and additive manufacturing technologies.
Scope
- Electrically small antennas and mechanical antennas.
- Millimeter-wave and Nano-optical antennas, Electrically large antennas (reflectors and lenses) and their primary feeds; Radar Cross Section reduction and measurement.
- Broadband or frequency-independent, multiband, and reconfigurable antennas.
- Resonant, traveling, and guided-wave antennas.
- Antenna feeds and matching circuits.
- Wearable and implanted antennas, rectennas, and filtennas.
- On-chip antennas, antenna manufacturing, and packaging.
- Additive manufacturing and new materials in antenna design.
- Power handling and electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- Antenna modeling based on equivalent circuits, AI/ML, and model-based systems engineering.
