Nominations are solicited for the 2026 IEEE AP-S service awards. There are two service awards that the Society will give in 2026. A brief description of these two awards and nominations instructions are provided below. All nominations are subject to the terms in the AP-S and IEEE guidelines detailed in the Operating Manuals and Bylaws.
Please note that:
- Self-nominations are not allowed
- Only current AP-S members can nominate a candidate
- Previous award winners are not eligible for the same award

IEEE AP-S Distinguished Service Award
The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) invites nominations for the IEEE AP-S Distinguished Service Award, a career-level recognition honoring an exceptional volunteer who has demonstrated sustained, impactful service and leadership within the Society.
This award celebrates an individual whose long-term contributions have significantly advanced the mission and activities of AP-S. Nominees should have a record of distinguished service characterized by one or more of the following:
- Innovative and impactful service contributions to the IEEE AP-S
- Exemplary leadership within the Society
- Outstanding administrative or managerial achievements
- Initiation or development of new programs that benefit AP-S members and the broader community
All individual members of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society are eligible for nomination.
IEEE AP-S Service Award
The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (APS) invites nominations for the annual APS Service Award, which recognizes exceptional volunteer contributions to a specific initiative, program, or selected activities that advance the mission of the Society.
This award honors significant service delivered either by an individual or by a team. Nominees or nominated teams should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:
- Impactful service contribution to IEEE APS
- High quality service and administrative effort in support of Society activities
- Delivery of programs that benefit APS members and the broader community
For individual awards, members of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society are eligible; for team awards, the leader of the team must be a member of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society.
Nomination Instructions:
Although a specific format for the nomination is not prescribed, the nominator should prepare a single document inclusive of:
(a) family and (b) given names of the nominee(s); (c) e-mail address; (d) telephone number; (e) affiliation; (f) country; (g) brief biography(ies); (h) nomination letter, and (i) the rationale for the nomination, specifically highlighting why the current and/or past service of the nominee(s) are exceptional.
The recommendation of the recipient(s) of this award will be conducted by a committee consisting of the three most recent past Presidents of the Society, subject to approval by the AP-S AdCom.
