2018 Raj Mittra Travel Grant (RMTG) has been established to partially support travel by one Ph.D. level scientist to attend the joint 2018 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting, which will be held from July 8 - 13, 2018 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Applications for the RMTG are due February 15, 2018. (Note: Candidates are expected to apply for the RMTG before receiving notification that their Symposium submission has been accepted.) Interested applicants are encouraged to apply after carefully reviewing the following information to ensure their eligibility and ability to comply with application requirements and deadlines.
ELIGIBILITY: Candidates need not be members of IEEE/AP-S, but they must have a contribution accepted for presentation at the 2018 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation. Details of conference submission can be found at http://www.2018apsursi.org. Awardee must personally present his/her contribution at a regular AP-S session organized at the Symposium.
AWARDS: One grant in the amount of $1,000 is available to a Ph.D. level scientist pursuing research in areas of traditional interest to AP-S. Symposium registration fee and banquet ticket for the awardee will be covered by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society. Since award presentation is made at the meeting, awardee must make his/her own arrangement to cover travel expenses to the meeting to receive the award.
APPLICATION & SCHEDULE: Every effort will be made to conduct the entire application process by E-mail. To receive an E-mail application kit with filing instructions, please request an RMTG Application Kit from the awards Chair at
SELECTION: Awardee is selected by the RMTG Committee, and an awardee's selection is primarily based upon the candidate's potential or demonstrated aptitude for research. Awardee must also have his/her paper accepted for presentation at the meeting. Successful RMTG candidate will be notified of his/her selection as soon as possible upon completion of the selection process.
