2022 Raj Mittra Travel Grant
2022 Raj Mittra Travel Grant (RMTG) has been established to partially support travel by one Ph.D. level scientist to attend the joint 2022 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting, which will be held from July 10-15 in Denver, Colorado, USA.
This year for the IEEE AP-S/URSI 2022 in Denver, RMTG Committee is pleased to announce Dr. Xingqi Zhang as the RMTG Awardee!!
Dr. Xingqi Zhang received the B.Sc. degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology in China, and the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Toronto in Canada. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland. He is also an Associate Investigator in the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications. Prior to joining UCD, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Toronto. His research interests cover the fundamental and applied aspects of computational electromagnetics and wireless communications. A particular focus is on radio wave propagation (indoor, urban, terrestrial, body-centric), multiphysics/multiscale modeling, machine learning, stochastic uncertainty quantification, EMC/EMI analysis, as well as antenna and RF/millimeter-wave design & measurement. He has served as an Associate Editor for the IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, and the IEEE Journal on Multiscale and Multiphysics Computational Techniques, as well as a TPC Member and Session Chair for several high-profile conferences. He was the recipient of the RIA Charlemont Award from the Royal Irish Academy (RIA), the Young Scientist Award from the International Union of Radio Science (URSI), and several Best Paper Awards at international symposia.
