2021 Raj Mittra Travel Grant

2021 Raj Mittra Travel Grant (RMTG) has been established to partially support travel by one Ph.D. level scientist to attend the joint 2021 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting, which will be held from December 4 - 10, 2021 in Singapore.

This year for the IEEE AP-S/URSI 2021 in Singapore, RMTG Committee is pleased to announce Prof. Guan-Long Huang as the RMTG Awardee !!

Guan Long Huang

Guan-Long Huang received the B.E. degree and the Ph.D. degree at Harbin Institute of Technology and National University of Singapore, respectively. He is now a Full Professor with Foshan University, China, and serve as the Director of Smart Antenna and Microwave Engineering Centre. Prior to join the current university, he has been with Shenzhen University as an Associate Professor, the Nokia as a Senior Antenna Specialist, and the Temasek Laboratories at NUS as a Research Scientist from 2011 to 2020. He has published over 70 journal papers and more than 60 conference papers, and delivered 20 invited talks, as well as organized more than 10 special sessions in several international conferences. He was the recipient of the Young Scientist Award in 2021 from ACES, the Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation Award in 2020 from the Ministry of Education of P.R. China, and the Best Reviewer Award of IEEE AWPL and IEEE TAP in 2019 and 2020, respectively. His team was awarded the “Cool Antenna Award” in ISAP2020 Student Design Contest (SDC), which is the first SDC since the first ISAP held in 1971. His research interests include high performance antenna design and measurement technique.
